How are aluminum profiles processed

  • Hits: 491

Industrial aluminum profiles have excellent properties that are unmatched by other metals such as corrosion resistance, dirt resistance, environmental protection, and good tensile properties. Therefore, industrial aluminum profiles have been widely used in various fields such as construction, transportation, and aviation in recent years. We can often see the use of industrial aluminum profiles in our daily lives. Do you know how industrial aluminum profiles are manufactured? Now let's talk about the specific processing process of industrial aluminum profiles.

Casting is the first process in aluminum production. Ingredients: According to the specific alloy grades to be produced, the amount of addition of various alloy components is calculated, and various raw materials are reasonably matched. Melting: Put the prepared raw materials into the smelting furnace according to the process requirements for melting, and effectively remove the slag and gas in the melt through degassing and slagging refining methods. Casting: Under certain casting process conditions, the molten aluminum is cooled and casted into round casting rods of various specifications through a deep well casting system.

extrusion. Extrusion is a means of forming profiles. First, design and produce a mold according to the section of the profile product, and use an industrial aluminum profile extruder to extrude the heated round cast rod from the mold.

Oxidation. The extruded aluminum alloy profile does not have strong corrosion resistance on the surface, so it must be surface treated by anodizing to increase the corrosion resistance, wear resistance and appearance of the aluminum.

The main process is: surface pretreatment, chemical or physical methods are used to clean the surface of the profile, and the pure matrix is exposed to facilitate obtaining a complete and dense artificial oxide film.

Anodizing, the surface pretreatment profile, under certain process conditions, the surface of the substrate undergoes anodization to form a dense and porous film layer.

Sealing, the so-called sealing is to close the pores of the porous oxide film formed after anodic oxidation to enhance the anti-pollution, corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the oxide film. The oxide film is colorless and transparent. Using the strong adsorption of the oxide film before sealing, some metal salts can be adsorbed and deposited in the film pores, which can make the appearance of the profile show many colors other than the natural color.
